we love our friends.

mostropop had a warm welcome within my friends, and today i received another glimpse of that, this time mostropop got love from aniria, one hell of a girl, i couldn't be more grateful with her, she's been such a big help since the beginning of times. lotsa love homegirl.

she runs a site named tampico cultural which tries to depict the artistic scene in that weird city in the northeast of mexico. so, it'd be nice if you pay a visit and say hi(mostropop is on the main page of the site too!).

the picture above is a detail of a feature that mostropop got on a local newspaper in tampico, click on it to see the whole page.

soon i'll post new lovely things for you to donwload and print. promise!!.

at last, but not least.

finally i can breath from school for a while, this last weeks have been like student's hell for me, but next week i'll have enough time to party and work a little bit more on the site, i have a few cool ideas that i'll post soon. thanks for being so patient, 07 will be an amazing year!!.

so, this is the third monster, his heart is broken and he just can't stand it anymore, hey y'all emo/screamo/mallgoth/folkie/blues/crooner/wussies/lovers, this is the one for you.

print-cut-fold-paste and use that blank speech ballon at your will to let that special someone know how you feel. he's the first version of a character that will help you express your feelings and moods. mostros are so sensitive and thoughful!.

stay tuned kids!!!.

mostropop is alive and kicking, yo!.

peace homies.

indierocks.

well, this post is great news for the mostropop crew(of which i happen to be the only member), maybe, or maybe not, you have read the music magazine indie rocks, if you do, then pay attention to your magazine stands since their march issue will feature a mostro from the mostropop collection. the only sad thing is that i wasn't able to make a totally brand new mostro for them, but we couldn't work on that cause their deadline was almost over when i got asked to participate... i'm pretty happy with the final result anyways, and infinitely grateful with the staff at indie rocks magazine.

luv!!

p.s.
the new mostro will be up soon. promise. school's been trying to kill me.

where the wild things are.

i just found this and wanted to share it.

when i was a kid i remember seeing this cartoon every now and then on public access tv, i liked it and saw it everytime i had a chance, eventually i found out that it was an animated version of a book that goes by the same name.

i´m posting it cause i think that maurice sendak's work on this tale is amazing, both as a writer and as an illustrator, and, well, it features mostros... and they are amazing!.

I AM A MONUMENT

so, after almost a week of no updates i'm back with a new mostro, inspired in robert venturi's work, if you don't know who he is maybe you should google him or get his book "learning from las vegas". you´ll be more than surprised with the things you'll learn from him.

on the other hand, mostropop was featured on turnthatshitoff.com, you should check that out too.

guess that's all for today, stay tuned cause i might update again pretty soon.

you know the drill, click on the picture and start working on it.

oh! and if you ever feel like saying hi or send some pictures drop a few lines in my email. rocamadour (at) gmail.com

peace.

smile, it´s finally up.

This is mostropop, my approach at freeware design, here’s the plan: i’ll use this blog to post stuff that you'll be able to use as you please, the only important thing is that you have fun with them.

I hope that you guys send me some feedback via your comments, and keep an eye on the site since i´ll be uploading more freebies for you, there's still a lot to come, but i had to start with a little something, so the first post is a “mostro” which you’ll have to print and use your knife and glue to cut and paste it(thick matte paper is the best, but standard bond works ok too), won’t take too much time to get it done and you’ll be more than happy with the final result. So, stop reading and start cuttin’ and foldin’ yo!.

Click on the picture to download the template.

Don´t be shy, send some action pics!.

Spread the word!!! Mostropop is in town.
